Margaret Ann Blackburn VincionMargaret Ann Blackburn Vincion, age 93, a resident of Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at her residence.

 

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral home with Ronny Thompson officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Maury Memorial Gardens. A visitation will also be held on Saturday from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the funeral home.

 

Born on May 21, 1931, in Hilltown, Tennessee, Margaret was the daughter of the late Mathew Thomas Blackburn and the late Nettie Alice Smith Blackburn. Margaret was a woman of many passions, deeply devoted to her family, particularly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life: fishing, visiting the Mennonites, and tending to her flowers. Known for her work ethic, she also had a love for music and cooking, famously preparing biscuits and corn. One of her cherished memories was teaching her grandson, B.J., to play the guitar. Margaret also had a special love for her parrot, Charlie.

 

She is survived by her beloved long-time companion, Robert Hickman, daughter, Tina (Ronnie) Wells of Ider, AL, brother, Jim Blackburn of Columbia, TN, grandchildren, Johnny (Courtney) Hudgins of Columbia, TN, B.J. (Tiffany) Hudgins of Columbia, TN, and great grandchildren, Martha Hudgins, Jena Hudgins, Macayla Hudgins, and Micah Hudgins.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Lester Blackburn, Leslie Blackburn, M.T. Blackburn, Jr., and sister, Juanita Roberts.

 

Pallbearers will be Johnny Hudgins, B.J. Hudgins, Ronnie Wells, Ronnie Blackburn, Matt West, and Jimmy Inabnitt. Honorary pallbearers will include, Dr. Gaylon Harris and nurses, the staff at NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care Center, and the staff of Caris Hospice.
