Marcia Lynn Williams, age 67, a resident of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Centennial Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Elder Richard James officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Maury Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on December 24, 1956, in Columbia, Tennessee, Marcia was the daughter of the late Cordy L. Williams, Sr. and the late Ethelene Frierson Williams.
Marcia was a devoted foster mother to Clarence Elliot, Jr. and Brucoya Mason, along with numerous other children who found love and care under her roof. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her home, touching the lives of many. She enjoyed cooking and took great pleasure in preparing meals that brought people together. Marcia’s faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she loved the Lord deeply. Marcia also had a deep appreciation for nature, especially flowers; lilies being her favorite. Above all, Marcia cherished her family. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her sisters, Marie L. Patterson of Elizabethtown, KY, Sharon (Errol) Murphy of Columbia, TN, and brother Cordy L. (Mildred) Williams Jr. of Cane Ridge, TN.
Those proudly serving as pallbearers will be Clarence Elliot, Sr., Clarence Elliot, Jr., Jamario Elliot, Antwain Mason, Stephen Burton, and James Marshall.
