Marcella Kay Mears, 70 of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, August 19th, 2020 at her residence. Mrs. Mears was born on July 7th, 1950 to William Clayton Searcy and Elsie Mae Rodgers Searcy.
Funeral services for Mrs. Mears will be held on Friday, August 21st, 2020 at 2:00pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Friday from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery.
She is survived by her sons Brandon Mears (Rebecca) of Athens, AL and Robin Mears (Heather) of Murfreesboro, TN; brother Ronald Searcy (Ruth) of Orlinda, TN; sisters Joy Jenkins (Kenneth) of Orlinda, TN, Beverly Lewis (Roger) of Orlinda, TN, Janet Smith (David) of Cedar Hill, TN; grandchildren Meghan, Morgan, Chloe, Ava, Chase, Grayson, Carter, and Major; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents; grandson Carson; and husband Robert Mears of 47 years.
