A funeral service for Marc Oakes, 69, of Lacey’s Spring, will be Sunday, July 14, 2024 at 3:00PM at Peck Funeral Home with Bro. Glenn Hamer officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be at Hough Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, July 14, 2024 from 2:00PM – 3:00PM. Mr. Oakes was born Wednesday, November 24, 1954 to E.C. and Mary Oakes in Madison County, Alabama. He died on Friday, July 12, 2024 at Huntsville Hospital.
Marc Oakes was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He loved to fish and spend time with his family and friends. Marc was preceded in death by his parents, sister Gwenda Oakes Miller, and niece Michelle Miller.
Survivors include:
Daughter: Jennifer Oakes (DeWayne Sloan)
Brother: Eugene Oakes
Two grandchildren: Damion Sloan and Haillie Sloan
Great grandchild: Oakley Sloan
Two Nieces: Marian Miller and Lisa Parrish (Marston)
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
