Funeral services for Mr. Manuel Cleveland Pipkin, age 87, are scheduled for 11 AM, Wednesday, July 16, 2014 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Scotts Hill with Bro. Lloyd Blankenship officiating. Interment will follow in Prospect Cemetery. Mr. Pipkin passed away early Monday in Franklin. He was born April 26, 1927 in Henderson County to the late Louis E. and Minnie Claire Barber Pipkin. He was a U. S. Army Veteran, retired teacher and Shelter Insurance Agent, a Baptist in belief, and enjoyed hunting, gardening, playing dominos, and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mrs. Erma Jean Miller Pipkin; his son, Jeff (Sandy Sabel) Pipkin; two daughters, Mitzie (Bob) Brasher and Michelle (Dan) Redmond; one brother, Sam (Janie) Pipkin; one sister, Mary Utley; and seven grandchildren, Marc (Glenda) Pipkin, Ginger Pipkin, Kyle Brasher, Kayla Brasher, Kelsey (Mark) Zurales, Kaleb Redmond, and Kirsten Redmond.
