Mandy Barksdale FaulknerMandy Barksdale Faulkner, known as “Nanny” went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 24, 2024 with family surrounding her bedside. She was born on Feb. 26, 1944 to Fred and Florence Barksdale, one of 15 siblings. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Faulkner.

Left to cherish her memories are her children; Wesley Faulkner (Stephanie), Diane Sexton, Linda Brown, Shirley Headrick (Jarrod); 8 grandchildren, Rachel, Hali, Josh, Amanda, Evan, Tyler, Alston, Jordan and by her special friends, Jeff and Deb Dickerson

Nanny had a passion for fishing, gardening, yard sales, playing bingo, going to the casino and buying lottery tickets. She was the best gardener and could revive any plant. She was an excellent cook and would feed crowds for the holidays. Nanny was famous for her “homemade biscuits”. She always had a huge garden and would donate a majority of the food grown to family, friends and the community.
Nanny had a heart of gold and a true servant’s heart. To know her was to love her. She never met a stranger and you always got an “I love you” along with a “hug” when you left.
A Godly woman, who had the most giving and loving spirit, devoted her entire life to her family and others. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
Nanny was a member of Ragan Chapel Church.

The family will hold a private celebration of life for her at a later date.
