Man Struck By Lightning Dies From Injuries

FLORENCE-On Monday the /florence Police Department issued a statement concerning the death of one person who had been struck by lightning as the severe storms rolled through the area on Monday:

“On August 7, 2023, Florence Police, Florence Fire, and EMS  responded to a medical call at 3155 Kendall Drive in the Florence Industrial Park. A worker in the parking lot had been struck by lightning. The male victim, 28, of Florence, had succumbed to injuries he received during the storm. 

The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of the victim’s family.”
