DECATUR-The Decatur Police made an arrest on July 2, 2015 of a Cullman man for indecent exposure. Here is the satement from the Decatur Police Department:
“SYNOPSIS OF OFFENSE & ARREST:
On 6/10/2015, an employee of the Sonic Restaurant, located at 2209 Danville Rd SW in Decatur reported to Decatur Police that while she was delivering food to a customer’s vehicle, the customer (Timothy William Wright) intentionally exposed his gentalia to her.
On 6/21/15, another Sonic employee at the same location reported to Decatur Police that the same male in the same vehicle, arrived at the restaurant and made an order. As she was approaching his vehicle to serve him his food, he exposed himself to her.
The suspect was identified at Timothy WIlliam Wright.
Both victims met with Decatur Police on 7/2/15 an obtained warrants for Indecent Exposure.
Sgt Silvestri contacted the Cullman Co Sheriff’s Dept, requesting assistance in locating Wright. The Cullman Co Sheriff’s Dept found Wright at his home and took him into custody. He was transferred to the City of Decatur Jail in lieu of a total of $1,000 bond.
Section 13A-6-68
Indecent exposure.
(a) A person commits the crime of indecent exposure if, with intent to arouse or gratify sexual desire of himself or of any person other than his spouse, he exposes his genitals under circumstances in which he knows his conduct is likely to cause affront or alarm in any public place or on the private premises of another or so near thereto as to be seen from such private premises.
(b) Indecent exposure is a Class A misdemeanor except a third or subsequent conviction shall be a Class C felony.”
