Mamie Louise James of Michie, TN was born September 20, 1935 in McNairy County, TN the daughter of the late Homer and Ruby Hysmith Wilbanks. Mrs. James departed this life on February 23, 2015 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 79 Years, 5 Months, 3 Days.
She was retired from TVA having worked on the Yellow Creek project. Mrs. James was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed sewing and making quilts, tending to her flowers, and caring for her chickens.
She was a Pentecostal.
Mrs. James is survived by three daughters, Deborah Price and husband Bobby of Whiteville, TN, Belinda Copeland and husband Frank of Burnsville, MS, Kathy Ann Younger of Eads, TN; two sons, Dennis D. Younger and wife Debra of Illinois, John Robert James and wife Sonja of Michie, TN; three brothers, Willie Joe Wilbanks of Savannah, TN, Jasper D. Wilbanks of Michie, TN, Johnny Wilbanks of Michie, TN; a sister, Geraldine Williams of Morris Chapel, TN; 10 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren; a special companion, James Krider of Michie, TN and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. James was preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Younger; her second husband, Junior James; four brothers, Dallas Wilbanks, Wilford Wilbanks, James I. Wilbanks, Carlos Wilbanks.
