MamieMamie Jane Bolton, 67, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Friday, August 2, 2013, at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis. Mrs. Bolton was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. She retired from the Tishomingo County Health Department, where she worked as a nurse’s aide for twenty-eight years. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, sewing, and gardening. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Monday, August 5, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 6, at New Prospect Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. J. B. Burns and Rev. Doug Christy. Interment will follow in New Prospect Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include her husband, Wayne A. Bolton of Iuka, MS; one son, Gary Bolton and wife, Beth, of Iuka, MS; two daughters, Mitzi Bolton of Tupelo, MS, and Leigh Anne Bolton of Iuka, MS; one brother, Billy Vess of Iuka, MS; four sisters, Faye Clark of Walls, MS, Peggy Hale of Rogers, AR, Rose Crabtree of Oxford, MS, and Jo Ann Wilbanks of Corinth, MS; three grandchildren, Lindsey Bolton and Ashley Wigginton, both of Iuka, MS, and Jon Bolton of Cumberland Furnace, TN; and four great-grandchildren, Aubrey Wigginton, Emily Wigginton, Karlie Herrell, and Olivia Bolton. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Catherine Black Vess. Memorial contributions may be made to New Prospect Baptist Church.
