Malinda Jane Robertson Daniel, age 93 of Fayette AL, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at DCH of Fayette. Services for Mrs. Daniel will be Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Fayette First Methodist Church in Fayette AL, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Fayette City Cemetery. There will be a reception held at the church after the graveside and friends are welcome to come and fellowship with the family. Bro. Chris Herbert and Bro. Bo Llyod will be officiating the service. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel will be directing the service.
Malinda Daniel is preceded in death by her parents; Joe Posey and Dorothy Osburne Robertson, her husband; Malcolm Douglas Daniel of 56 years, brother; Joe Posey Robertson Jr., daughter; Mary Lauretta Daniel Bayless, son-in-law; Larry E. Brasher, and great-grandson; Hugh Jackson Hindman.
She is survived by daughter; Dorothy D. Brasher and Jean D. (Dale) Hindman, grandchildren; Jeffery Daniel (Ronni Rena) Brasher, Henry Nicholas (Lauren) Galiano, Dustin Allen (Donita) Hindman, Daniel Chase (Sydney) Hindman, Leila Jane Bayless, Mary Katherine Hindman, and Malinda Clara Hindman, and great-grandchildren; Lara Elizabeth Brasher, Malcolm Daniel Brasher, Robert Randolph Brasher, Riley Mae Hindman, Samuel Allen Hindman, Lauretta Leigh Galiano, and Lilian Jane Galiano.
Malinda Daniel was a 1948 graduate of Fayette County High School, and a 1952 graduate of Huntingdon College. She received a master’s degree from the University of Alabama. Mrs. Daniel was a high school teacher for over 34 years before retiring in 1988. She was very involved in producing and directing dramatic productions of all kinds. Her community activities include, Former Memberships In, Progress Club II, Music Study Club, Delta Kappa Gamma, United Methodist Women, 1st Methodist Chanel Choir for over 60 years.
The Pallbearers will be Daniel Brasher, Nicholas Galiano, Dustin Hindman, Mac Brasher, Daniel Hindman, Joe McCrackin, and Harry Gabriel.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Staff of Morning View Estates, Dr. Martha Jo Christian, and DCH of Fayette Staff.
