Malcomb Edward Townsend, 83 of Athens, Alabama, died Thursday, October 22, 2020 at his residence.
Mr. Townsend was born March 2, 1937 in Giles County, Tennessee, he was a member of First Baptist Church in Athens, he was retired from Monsanto and he was a Veteran of Alabama National Guard.
Memorial Services will be 2PM Tuesday at First Baptist Church with Joel Carwile officiating, visitation is from 12noon until service Tuesday at First Baptist Church. Spry Funeral Home is directing.
Survivors: Wife, Shirley Kirby Townsend of Athens. Daughter, Tina Sanders of Anderson. Son, Brian Edward Townsend of Anderson. Grandchildren, Jonathan Sanders, Emily Sanders, Matthews Sanders, Ashley Hart, Seth Townsend, Donna Brooks and Ashley Alipply. Great Grandchildren, Levi Sanders, Haiden Sanders and Wesley Hart. Preceded in death by Parents, Herman & Thelma Townsend. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Limestone County.
