Mainelle Mathis Derting age 92 of Liberty, passed away Thursday morning, November 28, 2024 at her son’s home. She was born January 18, 1932 to her parents, the late Lee and Callie Chumbley Mathis. Mainelle was a retired factory worker and a member of the Cave Springs Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Davenport ad a nephew, Larry Davenport. She is survived by her son, Kenneth (Marie) Derting of Liberty; granddaughter, Tabitha Derting of Liberty; great-grandson, David Hutchins of Liberty; 2 nephews, Mickey (Jennifer) Davenport of Liberty and Hugh (Terri) Davenport of Smithville; niece, Leigh Ann McGill of Knoxville. Funeral services will be 2:PM Sunday, December 1, 2024 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel and burial will follow in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 10:AM until the time of the service at 2:PM.
