Maggie Sue Richards Maggie Sue Richards, 83, Muscle Shoals, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, December 31, 2024. A visitation to honor Maggie Sue and her husband, Jimmy Richards, will be Monday, January 6, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will immediately follow in the funeral home chapel with Peanut Montgomery officiating. Interment will be in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens, Florence.

Maggie Sue was a member of Hatton Baptist Church. She was a talented singer, songwriter, and musician, and was a backup singer for Tammy Wynette for seventeen years. Maggie Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Richards; sons, Ronnie Richards, Timmy Richards, and Mike Richards; parents, Methel and Howard Wimberly; sister, Shelby Lenz Barnett; and grandson, Jamie Mace.

Maggie Sue is survived by her daughters, Susan Richards Conyers (John) and Courtney Brooke Wallace; brother, Buddy Wimberly; sister, Sarah Pearson; grandchildren, Jason Vinson, Joi Vinson Anderson (David), and Analiese Wallace; great-grandchildren, Madison (Blayne), Lauren, Austin, Trey, Chase, Jacie, Alex, Ace, and Skyla; and great-great-grandchildren, Kayden, Zaelyn, Carson, Xander, Kai, and Koa.

Pallbearers will be Austin Mace, Trey Davis, Chase Mace, Chris Kerby, Anthony Cole, and Donald Robinette. Dave Anderson and John Conyers will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family expresses sincere thanks to the staff of Aveanna Hospice, especially Nurse Judy.
