Maggie “Mama” Dee Turner Frey, 88 of Ardmore, Alabama died on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at her home.
Born Thursday, May 21, 1925 in Athens, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Nealey and the late Martha Colbert Nealey. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands John Maples Turner and Woodrow Haskel Frey, two brothers, and four sisters. She was a member of Elkton Baptist Church and loved to talk, quilt, and sew.
Surviving are son, John Douglas (Beverly) Turner of Elkton, TN, daughters, Jo Ann Williams of Ardmore, AL, and Joyce Hansard of Decatur, AL, sister, Roberta Hayes of Huntsville, AL, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at Elkton Cemetery. Elkton, TN.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, November 25, 2013, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home, Ardmore, Alabama.
