Maggie Lucille Roberts, 93, of Johns Island, South Carolina, widow of Orville E. Roberts entered into eternal rest Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016. The family will receive friends Wednesday March 2, 2016 at Peck Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Her interment will be held Thursday March 3, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Maggie was born Jan. 28, 1923 in Decatur, daughter of the late Mark Middleton White and Minnie McCluskey White. She was a homemaker, and loving mother, grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Maggie was a gifted piano player and loved singing in her Gospel group. Maggie was an avid gardener and had been especially honored to have a day lily named for her, “Mrs. Maggie.” She was a life member of Southern Methodist on Johns Island, South Carolina. She is survived by her two sons, Lorren Roberts (Debby) of Cape Coral, Florida, Copey D. Roberts of Wadmalaw, South Carolina; one daughter, Charmaine Bennett of Wadmalaw, South Carolina; seven grandchildren, Tori Roberts Vaughn, Lisha Roberts, Lori Roberts Williams, Geoffrey Bennett, Matthew Roberts, Chelsea and Katie Roberts; nine great-grandchildren, Kayla Gardner Ladyman, Zach Gardner, Jacob, Hannah, James, John and Joseph Williams, Parish and Allison Roberts; and three great-great-grandchildren, Jace and Kylie Grace Ladyman and Ansley Williams; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Duey and Elton Roberts of Johns Island, SC.
