Maggie L. FosterMaggie Levater Foster was born February 2, 1931 to Ms. Avater Ruff and Mitchell Foster. She made her transition from this earthly house to her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, Mississippi.

 

Maggie accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of First New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church of Plantersville, Mississippi where she served faithfully on the Mother Board.

 

She was employed at North Mississippi Medical Center for 34 years as a Nursing Assistant before she retired.

 

Maggie was affectionately known as “Red”. She was a loving person, devoted to her family and adored all. Her hobbies and pastimes included gardening and cooking family dinners.

 

She was a member of Queen Tompkin Court #258 Heroines of Jericho.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents: Avatar Ruff and Mitchell Foster; a son, Eugene Betts; one brother L. C. Foster; one sister, LaBelle Barkley; one grandson, Christopher Partlow and stepmother Josephine Foster.

 

Her memories will be forever cherished by her children: James Partlow, (Paulette), Ronnie Rogers (Barbara), Alene “Lucy” Horton and Marilyn Smith (Anthony) all of Plantersville, MS, and Rondia Foster of Tupelo, MS; a sister, Nellie LaPearl Goodloe of Chattanooga, TN; a special sister-in-law, Juanita Foster, of Tupelo, MS; a special niece Norma J. Gilliam of Tupelo, MS; grandchildren: Terrell, Antonio, Jada, Braxtton, Briea, Teresa, Greta, Pam, Darrell and Erica; several great grandchildren, including great granddaughter Brittany who assisted in her care; several great- great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
