Maggie Lee Fanning, age 89 of Winchester, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Her daughter says it was a treasure and precious honor to take care of her mother all of these years. A native of Franklin County, she was born in Winchester on June 26, 1932 to the late Willie Pete and Mae (Whiley) Weddington. Before her retirement, she had been employed at Armstrong as a machine operator. In addition to her parents, Maggie Lee was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Leonard Fanning; grandchildren, Jeremy Huskey, Tony Fanning, and Jason Huskey; and siblings, Mary Lou Rowland and Robert Weddington. She is survived by her loving children, Vickie Huskey of Winchester, and Anthony (Michelle) Fanning of Winchester; grandson, Michael (Leigh) Fanning of Winchester; great-grandson, Blake Lee Huskey of Kelso; and siblings, Lucille Swift of Tullahoma, and Betty Mae (Jerry) Bates of Hobart, Indiana. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Monday, July 12, 2021 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 in the Moore-Cortner Chapel with Bro.
