Mrs. Maggie Bradley SmithMaggie Bradley Smith, the fourth child of Ben Bradley, Jr. and Matilda Irvin Bradley, was born March 9, 1934, in Limestone County, Alabama.

She peacefully departed this life September 10, 2023, at Elite Nursing Services in Huntsville, Alabama.

She attended Limestone County Schools and was a graduate of Trinity High School class of 1953.  She also attended Alabama A&M College.  Maggie relocated to Cleveland, Ohio and later to Los Angeles, California, a city she loved dearly.  She became a nurse and worked in this field until she retired. While in Los Angeles, she united with West Angeles Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of Bishop Charles Blake, Sr.

Maggie was adventurous and had an independent spirit.  She loved reading. In later years, she moved back to Huntsville, Alabama to be near family. She continued to be independent until her health failed.

Maggie was married to the late Arthur Smith, who preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Clyde and David Bradley; three sisters: Mollie Bradley, Emma Green and Georgia Malcolm.

She leaves to cherish her memory two brothers:  Darnell (Annie) Bradley and Eddie Eugene Bradley; four sisters: Inez Mitchell, Ola (Richard) Ayers, Willie (Lendell) Stinson and James Ella James as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m., Saturday, September 16, 2023, at the Royal Chapel of Memories (4315 Oakwood Avenue, NW, Huntsville, AL 35810) with Pastor James Miller, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in New Hope Community Cemetery #2. Mrs. Smith will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.

There will be no public viewing.
