Magdelene Mustard Sparks – Obituary

Magdelene Mustard Sparks, age 83, of New Market, Alabama formerly of Vanceburg, Kentucky went
to be with the Lord on November 28, 2014 at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama with her family by her side.
Mrs. Sparks was born on March 3, 1931 to the late Ollie Farrell and Mabel Mae Mustard in Portsmouth,
Ohio. She was a loving mother and homemaker and lived in Vanceburg until 1993 when she and her husband, George Sparks moved to New Market, Alabama.
Surviving are her 3 daughters, Vickie Hartley of Chillicothe, Ohio, Rhonda Long, and Stephanie (Dexter)
Elliott all of New Market, Alabama.
6 grandchildren – Anthony and Christopher Hartley, Victoria and Michael Long, Sophia Stegall and
Madison Elliott.
5 great-grandchildren – Britny and Megan Hartley, Brad Griffitt, Blake and Sara Hartley
4 brothers – Farrell, Dale, Larry and Mike Mustard all of Lewis County Kentucky.
Preceded in death beside her parents was her husband of 67 years, George Marshall Sparks and
2 sons, George Marshall Sparks, Jr. and Mark Anthony Sparks.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 6 to 9 at Gaydos Funeral Home 159 2nd Street in Vanceburg, Kentucky 41179. Funeral Services are Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 1:00 at Gaydos Funeral Home with burial to follow at the Black Oak Cemetery in Black Oak, Kentucky. Reverend Tom
Cox will be officiating the services.

Higgins Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Tennessee is assisting the family in preparation and transporting
Mrs. Sparks home to Vanceburg.
