Mae Johnson Mae Johnson, 96, of Huntsville, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021. Mae was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Nothing pleased her more than being there for her family and making them happy, and that, she did exceptionally well. She loved working with children and spent many years teaching in the Mother’s Morning Out Programs at Trinity United Methodist Church and First Presbyterian Church. She was a member of Holmes Street United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her son, Bill Johnson (Cathy); granddaughter, Lauren Roe (Bobby); grandson, Grant Johnson (Katelyn); four great-grandchildren, Riley, Bobby, and Alex Roe, and Jase Johnson; son-in-law, Mickey Connally, all of Huntsville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Johnson; daughter, Denise Connally; and parents, Walter and Myrtle Sells Thomas.

There will be a private family service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holmes Street United Methodist Church.
