MADISON -A detention officer with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office has been arrested for promoting prison contraband.
Sheriff Blake Dorning says, Madison County Sheriff’s investigators arrested Jacquenette Allen Saturday morning, May 2. The arrest was a result of a sting operation that took place after Investigators said the Sheriff’s Office had received information that Allen had been showing up to work with packets of marijuana and cigarettes for sale.
Allen has been employed as a detention officer for the Madison County Sheriff’s Office for a year a half and authorities state she has been suspended without pay.
Allen was booked into the Madison County Jail on $10,000 bond.
An investigation is ongoing.
