Mack Arthur Montgomery, 68, of Florence, passed away July 4, 2013, at his residence after an extended illness. He was a member of Helton Drive Church of Christ, co-owner of Appalachian Supply, Inc., and retired from the Army National Guard after 20 years of service.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 6, 2013, from 1-3 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 3 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be Ken Chapman. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Montgomery was preceded in death by his father, James Montgomery; and brother, Jimmy Montgomery.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Graben Montgomery, Florence; mother, Nell Montgomery, Iuka, Miss.; sons, Michael Montgomery (Meg), Jackson, Tenn., Doug Montgomery (Whitney), Florence, Troy Skipworth (Allison), Florence; daughter, Donna Skipworth Ream (Billy), Cincinnati, Ohio; brothers, Donny Montgomery, Iuka, Miss., Bobby Montgomery (Melanie), Tuscumbia, Ala.; grandchildren, Luke, Landon, and Savannah Montgomery, all of Florence, Zoe and Max Montgomery, both of Jackson, Tenn., Rowan Skipworth, Florence, Matt and Sydney Lash, Birmingham, Ala., Spencer, Casey and Avi Ream, all of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Active pallbearers will be Dan Montgomery, Bret Bishop, Louie Montoya, Kyle Oakley, David Kern, Scott Parrish, Lee Hibbett and Billy Ream.
Honorary pallbearers will be the elders and deacons of Helton Drive Church of Christ.
