Mable Jean “Jeanie” Newcomb, age 70 of Dilworth, passed away Monday December 12, 2016 at her residence. She was a member of New Temple Baptist Church, a youth leader and a Sunday School teacher. She was a God fearing, strong willed, and loved lady.
Funeral service will be Wednesday December 14, 2016 at 11:00 am at New Temple Baptist Church. Rev. J.J. Creel will officiate. Burial will follow at Walker Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday night from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. at the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents Arsene and Maybelle Tate.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Larry Newcomb; children, Larry Auburn “Butch” Newcomb (Ashley); Lori Newcomb Ross (Jake); Patricia Tate (Bruce). Grandchildren, Kayla Polk (Kenneth); Brittany Roberts (Charlie); Jake Newcomb; Kadi Newcomb; and Katie Gatlin; Jonah Ross; Emily Ross; and Isabella Ross; Melissa Tate; Sam Tate; and Kristen Tate; great grandchildren, Lilly Anna; Kai; and Phoenix; siblings, Donald Rodney Tate (Mimi); Connie Mullins (James); and Amelia Snead (John).
