Mable “GiGi” Joiner Jewell Howell, age 93, of Leoma, TN passed away Monday, October 16, 2023, at her residence. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired machine operator from Gabriel Mfg., and a member of Copperas Branch Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Perna Vanderford Joiner; her first husband, Edd Jewell; and one sister, Dallas Joiner Hines.
She is survived by her husband, Arley Howell of Leoma, TN; three children, Kathy Kermicle (Danny) of Pulaski, TN, Eddie Jewell (Kim) of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Karla Pigg (Mike) of Pulaski, TN; two step-children, Jeff Howell (Sue) and Tracy Howell (Lisa), both of Leoma, TN; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 18, 2023, with Richard Clinard officiating. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
