M.L. “Pete” Whitman, age 80, formerly of Mt. Hope, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Burns Nursing Home.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Whitman & Emma Grissom Whitman; and sister, Sarah W. King.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 30 years, Deborah Whitman; sons, Steve Whitman (wife, Sherry), Keith Whitman and four grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of North Alabama Hospice, Dr. Morrow and his staff, and the staff of Burns Nursing Home for all your love and care towards our father.
