Mr. M. L. Lightsey, age 88, of Boaz, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 at his residence.
His funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 3018 at Boaz Carr Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Jimmy Aaron and Rev. Daryl Ross will officiate. Warrior Creek Choir will provide music. Casket bearers will be Dennis Williams, Jimmy Williams, Tommy Williams, John Kelley, Bud Allred and Jason Booker. Visitation will be from 1 until 3 before the service at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Avie Mae Lightsey, son, Roger Lightsey, granddaughters, Heather and Rebecca Lightsey, brother, Billy Ray Lightsey, sister, Faye Gaskin (Donald), Magdelene Strickland and Martha Freeman.
Preceded in death by parents, Henry and Clare Lightsey.
