Lynne Fairchild Spragins Dodson Lynne Fairchild Spragins Dodson, age 86, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side on May 2, 2022.

She was the daughter of Marguerite White Spragins and Robert Hearn Spragins.

Dearest and most kind Lynne was born January 1, 1936, and was raised in Jackson, Tenn. She graduated from Jackson High School in 1954. She attended Vanderbilt University and then Parsons School of Design in New York City. Lynne was a display artist at Rosenbloom’s, Brasher’s, and Mam’selle stores in Jackson. She was also an advertising illustrator for both Kisber’s, and Stegall’s Shoes. She and her late husband, George Day (Bud) Dodson III, fulfilling a dream of hers, opened the Greenery Garden & Gifts store.

Lynne was a beloved mother to her four children. She had a lifelong passion for her horses, Dalmatians, artwork, gardening, and family. She served in Cotillion Club, as President of Jackson Service League, and was a member of Bal Masque. Lynne and Bud led an active social life for many years, loved to travel, fish, and graciously entertain friends and family!

She was preceded in death by her wonderful and devoted husband of 39 years, George Day (Bud) Dodson III, and her brothers, Sidney White Spragins Sr., and Robert Hearn Spragins Jr. She is survived by her children, Christianna Fairchild Bohs (Tom), Jeffery Downing Buehler (Laura), Vincent Hearn Buehler (Stacey), Victor Caslin Buehler (Gerri), and seven grandchildren: Lydia Fairchild Bohs, David Kyle Buehler, Zachary Downing Buehler, Megan Fairchild Buehler (fiancé Blake Callis), William Hearn Buehler, Victoria Lynne Buehler, and Christian Michael Buehler (Kristin). Lynne loved all her nieces, nephews, cousins, and sisters-in-law.

The family is especially thankful for several years of professional and caring services provided by Comfort Keepers and Avalon Hospice that enabled Lynne to remain at home with her family until her passing. A special thank you to Ravien “Muffin” Clark, and LaWanda Pirtle, who essentially became part of our family through the process.

The family will hold a private memorial service.
