Lynn Edward Niemann – Obituary

Lynn Edward Niemann, 80, passed away on Wednesday at Huntsville Hospital.

Lynn leaves his wife of 55 years, Linda Haynes Niemann; daughter, Mary Katherine “Katie” Niemann; son, Christopher Lynn Niemann (Layla); granddaughter, Kathryn Emma; brother, Robert Michael Niemann (Kay); sister, Sarah Katherine Shepler; sisters-in-law, Mary Scott Sikorski and Paula Niemann; and many cherished nephews and nieces.

Born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, he attended Saint Edwards grade school and graduated Catholic High School in 1956. He graduated from Christian Brothers College in 1961 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

Lynn spent two years in the Army at Redstone Arsenal and went to work for Brown Engineering in 1965. In 1967, he went to work for Chrysler Corporation. He worked there for 34 years in aerospace and automotive engineering. He retired in 2001.

He spent his retirement years enjoying the beach, fishing, gardening, bridge, and his granddaughter.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, May 13th at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, followed by mass at 10 a.m.
