Lyndon “Gerry” Harrison, age 77, passed away after a long illness at the West Tennessee Healthcare -Dyersburg Campus on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. All services are under the direction of the Bells Funeral Home. Mr. Gerry was born in Tigrett, TN on September 3, 1945, to the late Lum Harrison and Mauline Gilbert Harrison. He was a member of the Friendship Church of Christ and had been a native of Friendship his whole life. He was known by many names, “Crockett”, “Friendship”, “Grandad” and “Pops”, but no matter what they called him, they all loved him and will greatly miss him. Mr. Gerry had worked for the Crockett County Highway Dept., Beaver’s Grain Company and the last several years he had worked for ClearView Summerlin’s Farms. Mr. Gerry is now driving that great water truck in the sky. Also preceding him in death was one brother: Colin Harrison; one sister: Carol Harrison; four half-brothers: Kermit, Clay, Gerald and James Harrison; one half-sister: Gracie Hemmingway; and three step-brothers: Eddie, Billy and Gene Stokes. Mr. Gerry is survived by one niece: Amy Harrison Goff; one great-niece: Priscilla Carol Rickman; one great-nephew: Jonathan Harrison Balentine all of Friendship, TN; He leaves a legacy of numerous beloved friends and extended family. In lieu of flowers, the Harrison Family requests donations to the Bells Funeral Home toward expenses. The Harrison family are honoring his wishes for cremation and further information will be announced as it becomes available by the Bells Funeral Home.
