Luther “Brownie” Lomenick, 77, of Iuka, Mississippi, died Sunday, August 18, 2013, at the Carrington House in Iuka. Mr. Lomenick was a U. S. Army veteran. Visitation is scheduled for 5:00 until 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 21, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 22, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Rev. John Gwatney. Interment will follow in Snowdown Cemetery. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. He is survived by six daughters, Teresa Root (David) of Lawrenceburg, IN, Tammy Tatman of Brookston, IN, Kimberly Lawson (Jay) of Crawfordsville, IN, Lindsey Cole of Iuka, MS, Deborah Michael (David) of Iuka, MS, and Cierra “C.J.” Roberts (Jimmy) of Rogersville, AL; four sisters, Jewell Wingo (Mickey) of Iuka, MS, June Luttrell (John) of Chicago, IL, Linda Arnold (Randall) of Iuka, MS, and Diana Johnson of Iuka, MS; eight grandchildren, Cassidy Hayhow (Adam), Kirsten Root, Laura Reel (Jason), Leslie Wilson (Carl), Ryan Lawson, John Lawson, Nicholas Lawson, and Cody Roberts; and five great-grandchildren, Owen Hayhow, Grace Reel, Conner Reel, Kyra Wilson, and A. J. Wilson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Jean Lomenick; his parents, Sterling and Ruby Lomenick; three brothers, Tommy, James, and Roy Lomenick; and a sister, Shirley Robinson.
