Lurlon Andrew Quick, 79, of Hazel Green, passed away on Monday at a local hospital.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Clardy officiating.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.  Burial will be in Stateline Cemetery.

Lurlon worked for many years as a tool and dye machinist at various locations but retired from Amana/Goodman in June of 2007.  He and his wife, Nadine, loved going to auctions, estate sales, and yard sales.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Johnson Quick;  His great-grandson, Taylor Kimbrough’  His sister, Sarah Quick Parvin;  His parents, Horace and Leoma Mason Quick.

He leaves behind his daughters, Jeanette (Jeff) Hunter and Dorothy (Lary) Kimbrough. He is also survived by five grandchildren:  Marcus (Holly) Hunter,  Mallory (Jim Ed) Mills, Scott (Kayla) Kimbrough, Andrew (Kaitlyn) Kimbrough, and Jacob Kimbrough;  His great-grandchildren: Addilyn Mills, Hunter MIlls, Caden Kimbrough, Jace Kimbrough, Addie Kimbrough, and Lawson Kimbrough;  His sisters:  Della Esslinger and Freda Quick;  His brother, Elton (Gertrude) Quick and by several nieces and nephews

The family wishes to thank the staff at Millennium Rehab and Nursing Home for caring for him in the last few months of his life.
