FLORENCE-The Florence-Lauderdale Public Library will be hosting a women’s short film festival at the end of the month.

Florence-Lauderdale Public Library and the UNA Center for Women’s Studies present the 2019 LUNAFEST®, a free screening of 8 short films by, for, and about women. The screening of the short films will last about 80 minutes, and will be followed by an audience discussion led by UNA film professor Dr. Brenna Wardell.
LUNAFEST began in 2000 and was the first all-women traveling film festival. Today, there are screenings in more than 175 cities across the nation where the works of talented women filmmakers are showcased. For more information, call 256-764-6564, ext. 128.
