Mrs. Lula Marie Pierson, 88 of Stevenson, Alabama, went to her heavenly home on August 7, 2024. She was a retired secretary of Stevenson and North Jackson High Schools.
Lula was a member of Rudder’s Chapel Baptist Church and a lifelong fan of Alabama Football.
Lula was also a loving mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.
Lula is survived by her son Phillip and Penny Pierson of Fort Payne Alabama. Daughter- in- law- Chris Pierson of Henagar, AL, Brother- Johnny Owens of Stevenson, Sister- Ruth Coble of Stevenson, Sister and Brother-in law- Dianne and Ralph Grider of Scottsboro. Grandchildren- Nathan and Amanda Pierson of Fort Payne, Lauren and John Atchley of Fort Payne, Ryan Pierson of Fort Payne. Great Grandchildren- John Wayne and Michael Pierson of Fort Payne, and several nieces and nephews.
Lula was preceded in death by her husband -John Pierson, Son- Faron Pierson, Parents – Hugh and Annnie Marie Owens, and sister-in-law- Sue Owens.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Rudder Funeral Homes from 5-8 PM.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024 at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, beginning at 3:00 PM in the Rudder Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tommy Shoemake officiating.
Interment will follow in the Stevenson City Cemetery, Stevenson Alabama.
Family is accepting flowers or donations can be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
