On Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, if you listened real close, you would have heard a glorious reunion in heaven. Lula Mae Hale Collins, lovingly known by many as Mama Lula, gained her heavenly wings, and the rejoicing began.

Arrangements are Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016 at Parkway Funeral Home in Trinity. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. with services following with Brother Marcus Lipscomb officiating. She will be laid to rest at Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Doyle C. Collins and Raymond H. Collins and her parents. Her sisters and brothers, Carrie Mae Letson, Dellie Terry, Dorothy Parks, Julie Letson, Kay Horchler, Oscar Hale and Archie B Hale.

Thank you, we cannot begin to express our gratitude to the NHC caregivers, both past and present. Over the past three years, you have showered her with love, you treated her like family, took care of her and comforted us through difficult times. To the 3N Staff at Decatur Morgan Hospital, you not only gave Mama Lula the best care imaginable, you went above and beyond for what you did for our family. Dr. Scott Matthews, we are ever so thankful for all that you have done. You not only became her doctor, but also a part of the family. Your compassion and care are amazing, and will always be remembered with such fondness. Parkway Funeral Home, thank you for going that extra mile to help us through our time of grief. To all the family and friends that called, prayed, sent food, supported us, you will never know what this has meant to us.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Blankenship, Freeman Rikard, Robert Morgan, Hunter Frost, Chase Pitt, Dillon Bowling and Justin Mason.
