Funeral service for Lula Fowler Garnett Keel, 88, will be Thursday, May 22, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Ashley officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Herring Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Keel died on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born February 5, 1926, in Morgan County to William Harvey Fowler and Etha Elizabeth Weaver Fowler. She was formerly employed by Decatur Utilities Department as a personnel director and was a longtime member of Lebanon Baptist Church, where she taught many, many years of Sunday School Classes and served on various commitees, serving God in many different ways. She loved her church and that was her family. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Raymond E. Garnett, and Howard Keel, by her brothers: Gilbert, Oliver, and Albert Fowler, and her sisters; Ella Speegle, Lois Tapscott, Myrl Fowler and Mary Riethmaier.

Mike Garnett and his wife, Lanett of Hartselle, AL
and a host of other nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be family members.
