Lucy M. Lollar, 53, resident of Myrtle, went to be with her Lord and Savior, peacefully, with her children by her side at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Desoto County.  Memorial services honoring the life of Ms. Lucy will be announced at a later date.

Lucy was born in Union County to the late Richard “Bub” and Dorthy Pannell Hale.  She was a graduate of the West Union Attendance Center and enjoyed her time at home raising her children and being the best MeMe to her grandchildren.

A devout Christian, Lucy studied her Bible every day and had a heart of gold in caring for others before herself.  Anyone that came around Ms. Lucy knew that they would be loved as if they were her own, but never left without her getting the last word in any conversation, showing her feisty side.  A talented painter and crafter, Ms. Lucy was always up for a thrifting adventure as well as spending lots of time shopping on Temu.  She will be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memories include one daughter, Haley Barber (Dustin) of New Albany, one son, Payton Lollar (Jeanie Anne) of Hickory Flat, two brothers, Daniel Hale (Patty) of Etta, and Wilburn Hale of Myrtle, five grandchildren, Broden, Hazel, Lizzie Beth, Jack, Ryan and Tate, and one sister in love, Kay August.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one nephew, Jonathan Hale.

New Albany Funeral and Cremation Care would like to invite you to share memories with the Lollar family.
