Lucretia Marguerite Gooch, age 84, passed peacefully on March 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be held Saturday March 29, from 9:00-11:00 at Williams Funeral Home, followed by a private graveside service for family.
A lifelong resident of Florence, she was known for her smile, sweet spirit, encouragement to others, her love of gardening, and her unwavering support of her family. She attended countless ball games, and school activities, always showing her love and support. She was a member at Wood Avenue Church of Christ, a true example of a Proverbs 31 woman.
Mrs. Gooch was proceeded in death by her husband, Larry V Gooch; daughter, Amanda Gooch; parents Bill and Edith Flippo; sister, Ann Rickard; brother-in-law Kenneth Rickard.
She is survived by her children, Bill Gooch (Mary Beth) and Molly Brown (Kent); grandchildren Maggie Butler (Chris), Danielle Wallace (Jordan), Anna Kate Trzakoma (Josh), Ben August (Nena), Grayson Brown (Jenna), Anna Clemmons (Markus), Abbi Basic (Noah), Bo Gooch (Blair), and Sam Gooch; great grandchildren, Mollie Beth Walden, Mae Ellis Walden, Margaret Butler, Mitchell Butler, Garrett Wallace, Logan Trzakoma, Isaiah August, Laura Ann Clemmons, Gabriel August, Violet Trzakoma, River Clemmons, Roman Basic, Micah August, and Clay Gooch. Along with many special nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
