Lucio Gutierrez Catete, 64 of Arab passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Marshall Medical Center North. He was born January 7, 1960, in Lazaro Cardenas, Tula, Tamaulipas, Mexico, the son of Silverio Gutierrez and Fructuosa Catete. He worked at Alabama Wholesale Stone until his health declined.
He is survived by his companion: Tammy Jean Johnson, children: Monica Jean Gutierrez, Robert Johnson, Patsy Catterson, Elizabet Gutierrez Hernanadez, Maria Lourdes Gutierrez Hernandez, Monica Gutierrez Hernandez and Lucio Israel Gutierrez Hernandez; fifteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren; siblings: Lucina Gutierrez Catete, Ricardo Gutierrez Catete, Norberto Gutierrez Catete, Maria Gutierrez Catete, Francisco Gutierrez Catete, Francisca Gutierrez Catete and Felipe Gutierrez Catete. He was preceded by a daughter: Bridgett Maze and a sister: Martina Gutierrez Catete.
At this time no formal service is planned, Gober Funeral Chapel assisted the Gutierrez family in making arrangements for Lucio to be laid to rest in Sabina, Nvevoleon, Mexico.
