In keeping with her wishes, Lucille passed peacefully from this earth at home surrounded by her loving family. Born August 7th, 1927 in Arab, Alabama, Lucille moved to Huntsville with her husband Jack in 1950 to raise their family. They soon purchased land and built their home in Southeast Huntsville where they have remained. A stay-at-home Mother, Lucille loved raising her children, helping raise her grandchildren and beloved honorary granddaughter while providing a strong spiritual foundation for all. Always upbeat with a smile on her face and joy in her heart, Lucille cherished her life on this earth. Upon meeting Lucille you soon realized that she had an unexpected and quick sense of humor that caught you by surprise. In lieu of flowers, Lucille requests a donation in her name to the Children’s Library or Youth Group at Mayfair Church of Christ, 1095 Carl T Jones Drive, Huntsville, Alabama, 35802. The family is grateful for the loving neighbors, friends, family and brothers and sisters of the Mayfair Family who provided prayer, love, support, companionship (and food) to Lucille, Jack and family these many years.
