Lucile Arnold Barden, 93 of Union Grove Alabama died Friday – May 27, 2016 at Hanceville Nursing Home and Rehab.
Mrs. Barden was born on January 31, 1923 in Paul, Alabama – Conecuh County to John Henry Arnold & Minne Lee “Susie” Pate Arnold. She was a homemaker and had lived in the Union Grove area for 19 years, moving from Paul, Alabama. Her husband of 70 years, Winfred Millard Barden preceded in her death on January 1, 2014.
She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by a son: Richard L. Barden (Lynne); daughter: Linda B. Cobb; grandchildren: Vernon Cobb, Beverly Yocum (Forrest), Rhett Barden (Linda); great grandchildren: Chara Yocum, Marie Yocum, Hope Yocum and Max Barden; sisters: Elizabeth Arnold Tiarks (Allan), Minnie Sue Arnold Putnam (Jack) and Katherine Arnold Daria. She was preceded in death by her husband, Winfred Millard Barden; her parents: John Henry Arnold & Minnie Lee “Susie” Pate Barden and four brothers: Bill Arnold, Ravon Arnold, Lamon Arnold and Johnny Arnold.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday – May 31, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Jody Anderson, officiating. Entombment will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Huntsville Alabama. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Visitation will be 12:00 noon – 2:00 p.m. – Tuesday – May 31, 2016 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Southern Care Hospice-Hartselle Alabama, Mercy Ships or Samaritans Purse.
