Luanne Broome, 64, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Monday, July 22, 2024, at her residence. Luanne was a passionate woman who had a lot of talent and a lot of love. There was nothing in life that she couldn’t do, even writing up the blueprints herself for her new home. She was a gifted crafter, seamstress, gardener, cook, baker, and cake decorator. Not only was she very talented, but she was also incredibly kind and caring. Luanne took care of people whether they needed it or not and was always open to teaching people the skills and knowledge she had. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment she got to spend with them. She was in church her whole life and lived by the phrase, “Never do anything to hinder the plan of God.” Luanne is survived by her husband, Ronnie Broome; her daughter, Emily Newton (Jonathan); her grandchildren, Savannah, Lucas, Luca, Lily, and Timothy; her siblings, Becky Wilmoth (Kalvin), Kathy Robertson, David Benfield (Pam), and Gene Benfield (Debbie); and a host of other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cletus and Jamie Benfield; and her grandparents. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Iuka Gospel Chapel. Family and friends will gather at Iuka Gospel Chapel for an hour before service time.
