Loyle “Red” Holt, 79, of Crossville, formerly of Hazel Green, passed away on Thursday at his home.

He was a butcher for 40+ years, a Christian, and a pastor for many years at churches including Woodville Baptist Church and Baker’s Chapel Baptist Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Wanda Tate Holt;  His parents, John & Mary Holt;  His brother, John Lawson Holt;  His granddaughter, McKenzie Shirey.

He is survived by his daughters,  Jada (Phillip) Altwies and Jennifer (Doug) Letson;  His granddaughter, Brooke (Kayne) Winkles;  His grandson, Tyler Shirey;  His two great-grandsons:  Sawyer & Jamey Winkles;  His two brothers: Roger Holt and Larry (Teresa) Holt; His sister:  Anita (Tim) Zimmer. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3 until 6pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Monday at 1pm at the funeral home with Bro. Blake Sitz officiating.  Burial will follow and will be in Concord Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ray Cope, Jim Ed Mills, Chris Mills, Zachary Holt, Will Farmer, and Kevin Holt.
