Loyd Barry “Buzzy” Maxwell

Loyd Barry “Buzzy” Maxwell age 62 of Baxter and Smithville native, passed away Saturday June 20, 2020 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.  He was born March 29, 1958 to his parents, the late Loyd and Ruth Sutton Maxwell.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 sister, Jean Taylor.  Buzzy was a retired truck driver.  He is survived by 2 children, Brandy (Daniel) Maynord of Phoenix City, AL and Zackary Maxwell of Baxter; 2 grandchildren, Kylie and Isabella Maynord; 1 brother, Terry (Teresa) Maxwell of Smithville; 1 brother-in-law, Wayne Taylor; 1 niece, Amanda Maxwell; 2 nephews, Robbie (Alicia) Maxwell and Ken (Cindy) Taylor; 1 aunt, Charlie Mai Maxwell; cousins, Sammie Ray, Steve and Gayle.  The family has honored Buzzy’s request to be cremated and a Memorial Service will be held 1:PM Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at DeKalb Funeral Chapel with Bro. Joel Wood officiating.  Visitation with the family will be Wednesday 11:AM until the time of the service at 1:PM.   Due to COVID-19, the Governors Executive Order 38 and Social Distancing Guidelines; Our pews in the Chapel are marked off to respect the guidelines and allow approximately 100-125 people for the service, we ask for the health and safety of everyone that you please exercise Social Distancing.  The Funeral Home Lounge is Closed and NO Food or Drinks allowed in the funeral home.   The Memorial Service will be live-streamed on DeKalb Funeral Chapel Facebook page.  DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
