Mr. Hood was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from Murray Ohio, a farmer, and a member of Five Points Church of Christ. Survivors include:1 Son- Phillip Hood & wife Rose Ann of Lawrenceburg, TN; 2 Daughters- Patti Elliott & husband Tony of Birmingham, AL; Talisa Hood & husband David of Leoma, TN; 1 Sister- Sherry Ann Fleming of Loretto, TN; 3 Grandchildren- Ashley Howell & wife Katie of Leoma, TN; John-David Hood of Lawrenceburg, TN; Maggie Elliott of Birmingham, AL; 2 Great Granddaughters- Ansley Howell & Gabby Howell of Leoma, TN; 2 Brother in laws- Ralph Keeton of Florence, AL; Ralph Freeland of Sylester, GA; Several Nieces, Nephews, & Special Friends; Preceded in death by: Parents- David & Ollie Hood; Wife- Ottie Mese Hood; 6 Sisters- Natalice Hood, Sybil Stephen, Mable Shelton, Estelle Fox, Blanch Massey, & Sarah Elizabeth Keeton; 1 Grandchildren- Whitney Elliott; The Funeral Service will be officiated by Danny Pettus. Burial to follow in Dobbins Cemetery with military honors given at the graveside. In Lieu of Flowers the family requests donations be made to Abigail’s Plan or Dobbins Cemetery Fund.
