Lowell Arnold Sexton Profile Photo Lowell Arnold Sexton, age 88 of Fayette AL, passed away on Saturday, August 03, 2024, at Northwest Regional Medical Center. Services for Mr. Sexton will be Friday, August 09, 2024, at Norwood-Wyatt Chapel, at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery. There will be a meal provided at Fayette First Methodist Church. Rev. Chris Herbert will be officiating the service. Norwood-Wyatt Chapel will be directing the service.

Lowell Arnold Sexton is preceded in death by his parents; Belton and Addie Williams Sexton, and brother; Billy Sexton.

He is survived by his wife; Sarah Sexton of Fayette AL, son; Landis (Tina) Sexton of Montgomery AL, sisters; Betty Jo Diehl of Atlantic Beach North Carolina, and Sara Godwin of Texas, granddaughter; Sarah Savannah Frances Sexton of Montgomery AL, and sister-in-law; Sherry (Randy) Jones of Tuscaloosa AL.

Lowell Arnold Sexton was born February 25, 1936. He joined the navy in 1954 where he served during the Korean War conflict. While he was in the navy, he completed his GED since he was not able to finish high school. He married his childhood sweet heart in 1956 while in the navy. During his time in the navy, he was on the USS Shangri-La in the far east with Japan, Korea, and the Philippine’s. He was honorably discharged from the navy in 1958. Mr. Sexton was known for his brick mason and operating Stough Construction company with his father-in-law, as well as being the safety director and foreman at Berry Mines. He also retired from Arvin Industries in Fayette AL. Mr. Sexton was a long-time member of Fayette First Methodist Church. He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
