Lovie Irene Dykes, 87, died Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at her residence. She was born in Alabama and was a caregiver for twenty-five years. She was a member of Palestine Church of God.
Services will be Thursday, March 11, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Red Bay, AL with Rev. Clifford Britt officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Golden, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by four children – Marvin E. Dykes (Kathy), Sandra Vick (Ricky), Brenda Snook (Rusty) and Cinda McCarley (Joey); eighteen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and one sister – Willie Mikels (Chuck).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Edward “Eddie” Dykes, Sr. and three sons, Carlton, Kenneth and David Dykes.
Pallbearers will be Brady Vick, Dustin Timms, Phillip Vick, Stephen Vick, Cody Vick, Jarrett Rogers, Carl Wayne Dykes and Joey McCarley.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 11, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL.
