Lounette Long Wilson, 76 of Athens, Alabama, passed away on Friday June 21st, 2024, at her residence. She was born on December 16th, 1947, to parents Floyed Glen Long and Daisy Marie Kelly.
Ms. Wilson is survived by her daughter Therese Phillips (Charlie); her stepdaughters Angie Wilson and Karen Eden; granddaughters Callie Modica(Jake) and Alex Phillips(Jorge); step-granddaughters Candace Wilson(Christine) and Brandy Ring; brothers M.F. Long(Kathy) and Charles Long(Paula); & her sisters Nella Faye Harrison, Evelyn Siniard and Connie Ball.
Lounette is preceded in death by her parents; 1 step-grandson Michael Eden; 7 brothers and special friend Joe Lankster.
A visitation for Ms. Wilson will be held on Tuesday June 25th, 2024, from 5pm to 8pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with services at the same location Wednesday June 26th , at 11am with Doug Fields, Noah Hicks, and Jerry Clemons officiating. Burial will be at Elkview Cemetery. Her pallbearers will be Bradley, Keith, Michael, Steven, Logan and Blake.
Lounette loved her family, enjoyed being outside gardening, planting flowers and cutting grass. She also loved traveling and was a member of The Church At River Mills.
