Louise Virginia Trousdale Parker – Obituary

Louise Virginia Trousdale Parker passed from this life Wednesday Nov. 25th, at the age of 93.
Mrs. Parker was a life-long resident of Lauderdale County and the Antioch community. She was a 1941 graduate of Lexington High School and a member of the Antioch Church of Christ. She served during World War II as a “Rosie the Riveter”, making the same artillery shells used by her then future husband, Doyce, who was serving in the U.S. Army. She took great pride in her home, both inside and outside, and loved working in her yard. She was also very proud of her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyce A. Parker, her parents Jess and Annie Trousdale, brothers Gilbert Trousdale and Buford Trousdale.
Mrs. Parker is survived by children, Glen Parker (Karen) of Killen and Ann Parker Jaynes (Wayne) of Florence. Grandchildren, Amy Jaynes Young (Kelly), Nicole Parker Ritter (Bo) , Wesley Jaynes (Kanisha), Matthew Parker (Amanda), and Ginger Jaynes Willingham (Josh), 11 great grandchildren and one great great-grand child, one sister, Lucille Faust, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Wesley Jaynes, Matthew Parker, Kelly Young, Bo Ritter, Josh Willingham and Johnny Faulkner.
Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Antioch Church of Christ. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the church building with Bro. Miles Stutts officiating. Burial will be at Antioch Cemetery. Elkins East Chapel is assisting the family.
