Louise Shearin Wade – Obituary

Louise-Wade-1428587724Louise Shearin Wade, age 86, of Sheffield, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 8, 2015. The funeral service will be Friday, April 10, at 1:00 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be in Sheffield Oakwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Wade was a lifelong resident of the Shoals area and a member of First Baptist Church of Sheffield. She was a 1946 graduate of Deshler High School, and retired after thirty-five years of service from Bell South Telephone Company. Mrs. Wade was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, and she served as a volunteer at Helen Keller Hospital. She was also an avid football fan of the University of Alabama.

Preceding Mrs. Wade in death are her husband, William H. “Bill” Wade; parents, A.M. and Louise Hamilton Shearin; sister, Marceille Crowe; and brother, Jere Shearin.

Survivors include son, William S. “Bill” Wade and wife Sue; daughter, Lynn Wade Askew and husband Randy; granddaughter, Kristi Odom; brother, Gary Shearin and wife Betty, several nieces and nephews and special friends, Cristi Hendon and Betty Jean May.

Pallbearers will be Jay Lewis, Duane Shearin, Bennie Greenhill, Travis Wammack Jr., Matt Odom and Jimmie Morgan.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Terry True, as well as the nurses and staff of Shoals Hospital E.R., I.C.U., and fourth floor.
